Captamos toda essa energia e devolvemos as economias aos clientes\", diz ela.<\/p>\n<p>Rich afirma que o objetivo da COP29 ser\u00e1 \"um grande impulso\" para a ind\u00fastria, permitindo o crescimento do mercado. \"H\u00e1 uma boa raz\u00e3o para estabelecermos estes objectivos. \u00c9 uma forma de consciencializa\u00e7\u00e3o pol\u00edtica e envia sinais ao mercado\".<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com <em>Tecnologia de energia<\/em>Segundo a empresa-m\u00e3e da GlobalData, a capacidade global de armazenamento de energia dever\u00e1 efetivamente atingir o objetivo da COP29 de 1,5TW at\u00e9 2030.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/better-tech.oss-cn-hongkong.aliyuncs.com\/2024\/11\/Ba88F-global-energy-storage-capacity-outlook-2015-2030-1024x612.png\">  <\/p>\n<p>Rich explica que a energia hidroel\u00e9trica por bombagem (PSH) tem sido fundamental para a transi\u00e7\u00e3o energ\u00e9tica, tendo contribu\u00eddo com mais de 90% da capacidade global de armazenamento de energia instalada at\u00e9 2020.<\/p>\n<p>A an\u00e1lise da GlobalData mostra que a PSH continua a liderar, estimando-se que atinja 189,46GW de capacidade global acumulada at\u00e9 ao final de 2024, enquanto o armazenamento em bateria vem em segundo lugar com 98,78GW, o armazenamento t\u00e9rmico 14,95GW e o armazenamento eletromec\u00e2nico 5GW.<\/p>\n<p>No entanto, \u00e9 prov\u00e1vel que a PSH perca o seu estatuto de contribuinte mais significativo para a capacidade de armazenagem global nos pr\u00f3ximos dois anos.<\/p>\n<p>Embora o armazenamento por bombagem, t\u00e9rmico e eletromec\u00e2nico continue a expandir-se - devendo registar 241,7GW, 90,14GW e 30,19GW at\u00e9 2030, respetivamente - a trajet\u00f3ria para ultrapassar 1,5TW deve-se, em grande parte, ao crescimento exponencial projetado para o armazenamento em bateria, que dever\u00e1 registar 1,2TW at\u00e9 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Os sistemas de armazenamento de energia em baterias (BESS) registaram um desenvolvimento acelerado nos \u00faltimos anos, com os avan\u00e7os tecnol\u00f3gicos a fazerem baixar os custos e as inova\u00e7\u00f5es convincentes a abrirem portas a novas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es de armazenamento.<\/p>\n<p>A din\u00e2mica do BESS em todo o mundo \u00e9 impulsionada pela \"apet\u00eancia por projectos de baterias por parte dos promotores e investidores\", combinada com uma vontade pol\u00edtica cada vez mais forte, explica Eva Zimmermann, respons\u00e1vel pela energia flex\u00edvel na Aurora Energy Research. Isso significa que todas as empresas t\u00eam de fornecer n\u00e3o apenas energia e\u00f3lica ou solar, mas toda uma mistura que garanta energia limpa 24 horas por dia, 7 dias por semana, atrav\u00e9s do armazenamento, com subs\u00eddios fiscais, mandatos e visibilidade a longo prazo das receitas.\"<\/p>\n<p>Rich explica: \"A primeira coisa que os decisores pol\u00edticos t\u00eam de compreender \u00e9 que n\u00e3o existe um limite de locais potenciais para o armazenamento de energia. Esse n\u00e3o vai ser o problema\".<\/p>\n<p>Refere-se \u00e0 investiga\u00e7\u00e3o da Universidade Nacional Australiana, que criou um atlas global para potenciais locais de PSH fora do rio e identificou mais de 600.000 locais em todo o mundo. Relativamente a outras tecnologias LDES, os campos de g\u00e1s esgotados, as cavernas subterr\u00e2neas e as instala\u00e7\u00f5es industriais com excesso de calor produzido podem tamb\u00e9m ser reutilizados para desenvolver o armazenamento.<\/p>\n<p>Souder concorda com o sentimento de que os decisores pol\u00edticos t\u00eam de ajudar a criar melhores mercados e a atualizar as pol\u00edticas para incorporar o valor do armazenamento de longa dura\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>\"No Reino Unido, aperceberam-se de que perderam milhares de milh\u00f5es de libras com o corte da energia e\u00f3lica offshore, pelo que introduziram um mecanismo de limite m\u00e1ximo e m\u00ednimo para alavancar o investimento em LDES. Tamb\u00e9m assistimos a um n\u00famero sem precedentes de pedidos de propostas de LDES por parte de v\u00e1rios governos, como o da \u00cdndia e o da Alemanha\", acrescenta.<\/p>\n<p>\"Portanto, isto [os governos enviarem sinais ao mercado] j\u00e1 est\u00e1 a acontecer. N\u00e3o \u00e9 nada de novo, e \u00e9 por isso que nos sentimos t\u00e3o motivados para pensar que \u00e9 poss\u00edvel fazer mais.\"<\/p>\n<p>A COP29 assistiu a uma maior mobiliza\u00e7\u00e3o da ind\u00fastria em prol deste objetivo. Na cimeira, a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional de Energia Hidroel\u00e9trica lan\u00e7ou a Alian\u00e7a Global sobre Armazenamento por Bomba, com 35 l\u00edderes governamentais nacionais e ag\u00eancias internacionais a concordarem em colaborar no desenvolvimento de tecnologias de armazenamento de energia e a partilharem pol\u00edticas e pr\u00e1ticas relevantes.<\/p>\n<p>\"Na COP deste ano, houve uma consciencializa\u00e7\u00e3o crescente de que a incorpora\u00e7\u00e3o dos contributos determinados a n\u00edvel nacional (LDES) ser\u00e1 uma ferramenta muito poderosa para os pa\u00edses utilizarem as suas diferentes capacidades de descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o\", afirma Souder.<\/p>\n<p>Mas conclui afirmando que atingir o 1,5TW pode ainda n\u00e3o ser suficiente.<\/p>\n<p>\"Precisamos efetivamente de armazenamento para garantir a maximiza\u00e7\u00e3o do valor total das energias renov\u00e1veis.
